    • Gyokuro Jade Dew is perhaps the most famous of Japan's Green Teas. It is top quality and the most common tea used to make Matcha which is used in the Japanese Tea Ceremony. Gyokuro is carefully grown, delicately handled, and shaded during the last month before harvest to concentrate the tea flavanoids, anti-oxidants and chlorophyll yielding a delicious (and healthy) cup.

A splendid green tea.

Until this year most of my tea experience was with drinking the bag tea like Lipton, Luzziane or grocery house brands. A loose leaf green tea is a huge step up in flavor and this jade tea is excellent. My palate is not as refined as some and I also tried the Kagoshima green tea as well as the Kyoto sencha. To me they are all very very similar, but then again back in 2020 when I had covid only about 50% of my sense of smell and taste returned, But I can definitely detect a nice flavor from these teas and as I previously stated, a big step up from the supermarket bag tea that I used in the past Can't go wrong with any of them, but going forward for me I will likely stick to ordering the Kyoto Sencha based mainly on price since they all seem pretty similar to me. I trust that the health benefits and antioxidants are pretty similar among the 3. I would say to anyone who has an interest in trying tea start off with the 4oz sample of a couple of varieties and see what you like. Only way to know is to try these fine teas out.

Gorgeous cup of green

Gyokuro Jade Dew is a beautiful emerald color, and brews a very pretty cup of green tea. Nice, grassy green with a clean taste. I found this tea a little weaker than the Sencha Kyoto tea on this site, but then I also prefer Japanese greens as table teas rather than something to drink on their own. Worth a try!
