    This lot of Blackwood OP1 is the best Organic Ceylon of the season and is a Strand Tea staff pick for a refreshing afternoon tea. Well made leaves with their soft, faintly fruity aroma when dry are characteristic the the best Ceylon High Grown Teas. The brewed tea liquor is medium bodied with a full, robust taste. Drinks well with or without milk/sweetening.

Delicate Ceylon

In my recent order, I included a half pound of organic Ceylon from the Blackwood Estate. It had been some time since I made a pot of Ceylon (being devoted, mostly, to Assams) and was so pleased by the delicate, and distinct flavor of this tea. I make it for my afternoon pot of tea and have the last cup after dinner. With a small teaspoon of acacia (mild) or sourwood (robust) honey, it is perfection!

My Go-To Black Tea

I'm a coffee in the morning, tea in the afternoon person. Most of the time, I drink green or oolong, but when I feel like something stronger, a good, flavorful black tea, this is the one I go for. I drink it straight, no sugar, no cream, and find it rich and satisfying without being too heavy. Probably not a great pick if you like English breakfast teas.
