Kyoto Sencha has a fine deep green leaf appearing almost like Gyokuro Jade Dew. It brews a light green liquor with nuanced flavors and is an exceptional grade of Sencha. The Japanese often get a second or third brewing from one pot by adding more hot water and increasing the steeping time.

A great value

I really like this Sencha Kyotu green tea and it may well become my daily afternoon tea. Prior to this Sencha I never tried many loose leaf teas. Most of my tea consumption was limited to Lipton green tea and Lipton black tea in the bags or whatever grocery house brand was available Hy Vee, ShurFine, Our Family or Great Value from Wal Mart. This tea is a giant step up from bagged tea, I think this Sencha has bumped my Iron Godess of Mercy Oolong tea down to being my second favorite. I think each tea variety has their own antioxidant profiles all of which have their health benifits, so for that reason I consume black tea in the morning and green tea and oolong later in the day and every few days i have a cup or 2 of white tea. I would guess that is it as fine of a Sencha that is available. I can easily get 3 or 4 cups out a strong teaspoon. My only other exposure to Sencha was some tea bag Sencha that tasted like regular bag green tea, maybe they put some Sencha dust on the bag,but not enough to make a difference. This is the real deal , if you haven't tried this Sencha tea, I say get a couple ounces and give it a whirl. It wont disappoint.

Top quality sencha, great price

This has been my favorite daily tea for years. The Sencha has a very defined flavor, similar to other Japanese greens but a bit less vegetal than the higher grade teas like Gyokuro -- I love it!
