This is an amazing tea because it begins as a true Green Tea and then is slowly roasted to turn the leaves brown. A great toasty flavor comes out with underlying green tea notes. A must try and a great afternoon tea. Assam and Hojicha don't usually relate! An organic family farm in Assam brought in a Japanese tea master to teach them how to make the famous Japanese Hojicha from tea grown in Assam. The result is a style and flavor we like even better.
